ECHS students stopped by Duplin Early College on their way back from a college road trip to donate supplies to students who lost everything due to Hurricane Florence. Students were taken books, gift cards, and food. We are so glad we could partner with Duplin Early College and assist them during this time.

January 2019 is School Board Recognition Month – a great time to focus on the crucial role of our board of education members play in our communities and schools. We appreciate our board for their dedication and hard work. They are extraordinary people who voluntarily tackle the enormous job of governing our school district. As you may know, flu can be easily spread from person to person. Therefore, we are taking steps to reduce the spread of flu in Hertford County Public Schools. Scholarship opportunities are available for individuals seeking National Board Certification, Masters or Advanced degrees, and Lateral Entry teachers seeking certification. Read more.
Students entering 7th for the fall of 2018 will need the following immunizations (booster shots): Diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis A booster dose of tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis (Tdap) vaccine is required for individuals who have not previously received it and are entering the seventh grade or by 12 years of age, whichever comes first. Meningococcal One dose is required for individuals entering the seventh grade or by 12 years of age, whichever comes first Immunizations may be received from a family physician or from the local health department. Parents will have 30 days from the first day of school to provide the required up-to-date immunization record for their child. If proof is not provided by the end of the 30 day calendar period, the child will be suspended from school until parents provide proof of immunization as required by law.
If you are interested in volunteering at any of Hertford County Public Schools, please contact the school's principal to schedule a face-to-face conference, as well as complete the volunteer application. Failure to do so will result in you not being approved.
