Ms. Pamela Tann, School Counselor
Hello everyone! My name is Pamela Tann, and I am elated to be your School Counselor here at Hertford County High School! I have always had a passion for working with and spending time with the youth. I believe you all are a vital part of our futures, and I am here to help as much as I can. My goal is to help you reach your goals and full potential as you learn the importance of your purpose to be responsible, successful, respectful, and inclusive members of society. The world is ever-changing, and I want you to be equipped with the knowledge and wisdom that will carry you throughout your journey educationally and through life. Building a lasting rapport with our scholars and their families is very important to me as it is a key part of helping to make a difference in their lives. I am honored to be a part of your journey and to work closely with each of you as the plans for your future unfold.
I am an alumnus of Hertford County Public Schools, Class of 2001! The One! Always number 1! I have worked with Hertford County Public Schools for over 10 years and I believe being a School Counselor is one of my callings! I am a graduate of Shaw University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Liberty University where I earned my Master of Education degree in School Counseling.
A native of Hertford County, I have always enjoyed the country scene and the place that I call home. I am the very proud mother of one amazing son, Demari. I enjoy spending time with my son, going to church, spending time with family and friends, being a football mom, going to football games (especially my son’s games!), basketball games, watching sports, going out to eat, going to the movies, traveling, and of course, shopping!!!!!!!!!!!

Ms. Freida Lee, School Counselor
I am a native of Hertford County and I graduated from Ahoskie High School. My parents blessed me with a large family of ten siblings. I am the proud mother of one son and blessed with five beautiful granddaughters. I currently serve as president of the Willing Workers Ministry in my church. Traveling behind a good basketball or football game is exciting for me, as well as shopping for shoes. I attended Roanoke Chowan Community College and received my Cosmetologist license in 1996 while driving the school bus and serving as a substitute teacher for Hertford County Schools. Six years later, I went back to Roanoke Chowan Community College and received my Associate degree in Early Childhood/Special Education in 2004. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Education in 2006 and my Master’s degree in School Counseling in 2008 from Cambridge. I was granted the opportunity to serve all grade levels as a school counselor. I love working with students, staff, parents, and the community to open doors for our students in order to meet their needs. My goal along with my team is to provide the necessary tools for our students to reach their full potential through secondary enrollment, employment or enlisting.
