Welcome to the HCPS Transportation Department. The goal of the Transportation Department is to transport children to and from school safely every day. With 42 daily bus runs transporting approximately 1,700 students, our school buses cover all of Hertford County. In addition to transporting students to and from school, we also provide transportation for extracurricular events utilizing activity buses. These trips are both in and out of state.
All buses are equipped with GPS tracking and 2-way radios that can communicate with the Transportation Department and schools.
Each member of the transportation team plays a vital role in our "Pursuit of Excellence" in Hertford County Public Schools.
