The Math Department of HCHS teaches Foundations of Math, Math 1, Math 2, Math 2 Honors, Math 3, Math 3 Honors, and Advanced Functions and Modeling (AFM).  The department participates in Women in Mathematics Day at Elizabeth City State University in October and the Mathematics Competition at Chowan University in March.

Sarah Davis is a 1991 graduate of Hertford County High School. Mrs. Lelia Futrell bas been teaching at Hertford County High School for the past nineteen years. She received my teaching credential from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC. Her passion is teaching, inspiring and challenging children to love learning. Mrs. Futrell considers herself to be an organized, hard-working, and self-motivated teacher who puts great effort into preparing lessons while using multiple teaching strategies to keep my students focused and interested. She is dedicated to helping your child learn! Her family includes two daughters, a son, and two grandchildren. She looks forward to a great year teaching your children. Parents are always valued and welcomed in her classroom. Her philosophy is to provide an interesting, challenging, learning environment where students will flourish socially and academically. Mr. Hunter teachs Math I and II at Hertford County High School. He is starting his 15th year in the teaching profession. Mr. Hunter has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Norfolk State University. In his spare time he enjoys watching sports and listening to music.
