Mrs. Hall is a graduate of East Carolina University (B.A. Pottery), Chowan University (B.S. Social Sciences), and NC State University (M.A.T.). She has taught 9 1/2 years at Early College High School. After eight years of teaching Spanish I & II at Early College, Mrs. Hall transitioned to teaching Social Studies to 9th and 10th grade students. Hall served as an annual presenter at the NC Museum of History during the North Carolina Indian Heritage Month Celebration for several years. In addition, she previously served as a commissioner on the NC Indian Housing Authority board for 15 years, serving North Carolina's Indian population. When Mrs. Hall is not teaching and preparing history lessons, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to classical music, creating art, and the outdoors. Ms. Bowen is a native of Bertie County and graduated from Bertie STEM High School. She attended Chowan University and played softball. Ms. Bowen graduated in 2017 with a B.S. in Social Studies Education. She has teaching experience at Bertie High School and John A Holmes High School. In her free time, she likes gardening, fishing, going to the river, camping and playing with her dog Benny. She loves sports and my favorite team to watch is the Atlanta Braves!
