The National Beta Club--(Sponsor: Mrs. Ward & Mrs. Scott)The HCECHS chapter of the National Beta Club is an academic honor society. The core values of Beta Club are: achievement, character, and leadership. Club members participate in various community service projects throughout the school year. Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above and a clean discipline record are invited to attend each spring semester. Students are encouraged to apply if they meet the club requirements. Video Game Club-- (Sponsor Ms. Smyth)
Video game club is a time/space where students meet two days a week to work on their own creative projects and play games. On Tuesday, students transform and create different products that are of interest to them. On Thursday, students come together and join in playing different games.
Writing Center-- (Sponsor Ms. Smyth)
Writing center tutors are also available on Wednesday from 3-4pm to assist students after school.
**Students are also encouraged to join clubs and organizations through Roanoke Chowan Community College.**
