Network Login Issues
If you are unable to login to your chromebook be sure to check the following:

Correct spelling of username_ & student ID#
-
username:1st six letters of your first name & last name
-
Password:student ID#(lunch#)
-
-
Incorrectly entering your network login information 3 times consecutively
-
Users must wait 15 minutes before attempting to re-login

New students must see the Media Coordinator for login information.
Wi-Fi Issues
-
Check your wi-fi signal indicator in the lower right corner of the chromebook screen.

If there is no signal, log off the HCPS network and try to reconnect to the network.

If there is no signal, click the network indicator & click the disconnect tab to disconnect from HCPS network and try to reconnect by clicking the connect tab to HCPS network.

Loss of wifi?

Try changing your location in the classroom to pick up a wi-fi signal.

Be sure to charge your devices at night to prevent low battery power or battery failure.

Low or loss of battery power causes wi-fi issues

Chromebook Issues
-
To prevent your device from being stuck in power mode, do not use the power button to turn your chromebook on or off.

To prevent your device from freezing, do not utilize your device while charging, which may cause the device to overheat.

Minimize the number of apps & tabs that may be open and operating while utilizing your device.

If any of these chromebook issues occur, try logging off or powering off your device.

Device won’t power on?

Try charging your device to test the battery.

Renaissance Issues
-
Be sure to utilize the Renaissance program under quick links from the HCPS website only @ hertford.k12.nc.us.

Usernames & Passwords will not be accessible if not utilized from the hertford.k12.nc.us website.

Having usernames and passwords issues?

Check with your ELA Teacher for your login information.

Remember your Renaissance login may not be the same as your network login.

Unable to take an AR TEST?
-
Be sure to enter the AR test code located on the inside label of the book cover or search by title & arthur.
