Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Program
AIG Mission Statement
The HCPS AIG team will discover, nurture, and develop gifted potential while fostering teacher professional development and a sense of community among stakeholders.
AIG Vision Statement
To empower all AIG students to become future leaders through an inclusive and rigorous education
Article 9B
Article 9B provides a state definition for Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) students and requires differentiated educational services beyond those ordinarily provided by the regular educational program. Local education agencies (LEA) must develop three-year AIG plans with specific components that articulate how gifted learners will be identified and served.
