Senior Honor Cords

Earn that cord!

Seniors love the feeling of accomplishment when they put on their cap and gown.  AIG students who are Seniors have the opportunity to earn an honor cord for successfully completing the following criteria in the AIG Scholars program.

To become an AIG Scholar and earn a graduation cord, seniors must:

  • Volunteer 5 hours toward educational activities. Possible hours include tutoring or mentoring younger students, volunteering to work with the AIG Coordinator at AIG events, volunteering to help robotics students with robot design, research, team building or presentation, etc. Students must complete the Volunteer Document Form to log their volunteer hours.

  • Complete at least 3 honor cord activities. Each month from March to May, a newsletter containing higher order thinking activities will be sent via students' emails. Students will need to complete the activity in the month it is sent in order to receive credit. A total of 3 activities are needed for the year.
