HCPS Program for Children with Special Needs

Hertford County Public Schools! Our district is deeply committed to providing students with disabilities the support, resources, and opportunities they need to grow academically, socially, and emotionally from Pre-K through post-graduation. We believe that every child is capable of success, and we strive to create a learning environment where students feel empowered, valued, and encouraged to achieve their goals.

Through personalized instruction, research-based strategies, and inclusive classrooms, we work to meet the unique needs of every student, ensuring they receive the tools necessary to thrive both in school and beyond. A disability should never define a child’s future, and with the right support system in place, we know that all students can reach their full potential.

Our dedicated team of experienced professionals is passionate about helping children build confidence, develop essential life skills, and prepare for the future. By offering individualized services, tailored interventions, and a nurturing educational experience, we are committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of our students and their families.

If you are looking for guidance, support, or more information about the programs and services available, we encourage you to reach out to us. Let us partner with you to help your child succeed. At Hertford County Public Schools, we believe in every student’s ability to achieve greatness, and we are here to support them every step of the way.

If you have concerns about a child with special needs who needs services, please contact J. Turner Williams (EC Director) at 252-358-1761.
