Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS)

Schools within Hertford County Public Schools that are grades 4-12 have access to become Upstanders who report warning signs and threats to Trusted Adults by text, app, phone, or websiteand help prevent violent crimes in their schools through Sandy Hook Promise’s Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS). SS-ARS is a holistic program combining education about the warning signs of potential violence or self-harm with the tools to safely report concerns. This is the only anonymous reporting system in the U.S. that provides training along with a mobile app, website, and hotline – exclusively for schools. When Upstanders report tips, they are vetted and triaged by highly-skilled crisis counselors in our accredited, bilingual National Crisis Center. If needed, local school/law enforcement response teams are promptly alerted to life-safety reports to ensure swift intervention in critical safety issues.
