School Support (Student Services)

Welcome to the Department of School Support. Through the collaborative efforts of our dedicated school counselors, social workers, nurses and behavior support coaches, we partner with our parents, guardians and community agencies to provide preventive care and support that address the physiological, safety, belonging, and esteems needs of our students. Our services align with the mission and core values of Hertford County Public Schools as we collaboratively foster a safe, nurturing environment that serves all students and families through quality education, diversity, and innovative opportunities that are student-centered and equitable. Our goals are to remove barriers that affect students' daily attendance, help them flourish in their learning environments, and hold ourselves accountable to support their social-emotional needs to graduate as competitive citizens equipped for global success.
