HERTFORD COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
October 3, 2012
Visitors and Friends of Excellence in Education,
Welcome to Hertford County Public Schools!
We invite you to explore an LEA that is on the move. Our school report cards display the progress we are making towards our commitment to value, challenge, and prepare students.
Hertford County Public Schools has seven schools within the district. The district has experienced significant growth in the past year. The Early College High School earned the distinction of an Honor School of Excellence with High Growth! Hertford County High School earned the status of being a School of Distinction with High Growth! C. S. Brown High School met all of their Annual Measurable Objectives and received High Growth, but their small school status prevents them from being identified under the ABC School Status.
We are proud of these results and will continue to examine our practices to improve achievement for our district. Our secondary schools have set a high mark for our middle and elementary schools to achieve. However, they are more than up for the challenge!
Our middle and elementary schools have shown tremendous growth with Riverview meeting High Growth, Ahoskie Elementary making Growth, and our middle school continuing to grow.
We invite you to partner with us as we continue best practices that address academic capacity within our district.
Sincerely,
Michael D. Perry, Ed.D.
Superintendent
