School Report Card 2010
-
Hertford County Public Schools demonstrated high growth as a school district for the 2009-2010 school year. Overall growth was reflected in various degrees at each school. In addition, our overall district wide attendance percentage for the year was 96.1, while the four year graduation cohort group met their target goal of 65.8.
Hertford County High School provided the highlight of the district through high growth and a Composite Index of 78.8. The index is only 1.2 points below the title “School of Distinction.” Growth in science, US History, Algebra I and Civics and Economics was excellent and we are proud of staff and student performance.
Hertford County Middle School demonstrated growth at the seventh grade level and high growth at the eighth grade level. With continued effort we hope to exceed these results.
Ahoskie Elementary demonstrated continued growth and is now designated as a “School of Progress”.
As a district, we are determined to build upon our high growth. We understand the need to continue academic improvement. Based on previous success, we are focused on exceeding goals required to be met. The report card also reflects numerous measures that target our benchmark growth for this year.
