  • BE U SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM PRESENTED BY P&G / FAMILY DOLLAR

Procter & Gamble (P&G) beauty brands are trusted in millions of homes -- and have been passed down from generation to generation. Over the course of 181 years, P&G has challenged convention, led innovation, and helped shape culture with popular brands such as Old Spice, Pantene, and Olay.

P&G and Family Dollar, in partnership with UNCF, are sponsoring over 50 need-based scholarships for current and rising HBCU students to combat income inequality through the BE U Scholarship Program. All majors are welcome. Applicants must attend an HBCU located in North Carolina, Virginia, or Washington, DC. Scholarship funds will be disbursed in the 2022-2023 academic year.

  • SECU Foundation "People Helping People" Scholarships

    SECU

Application packets are due to the district office by 5pm on March 11th.  Schools should review applications to ensure all required components are submitted.  It would also be wise if someone at the school would work with the students on their essays and interview skills.  It helps the students feel more confident and present their best selves to the committee.  Interviews will occur March 14th thru March 25th.  Recipients will not be notified until the senior awards banquet at the respective schools.  HCPS Selection committee recommendations must be submitted and approved by SECU before we notify students.

Please note that the application must be downloaded and submitted electronically as a MS Word file. It is acceptable for a file/folder containing the application, transcript, picture, etc. to be created electronically for each candidate and shared.
