• Thank you for considering Hertford County Public Schools as the prospective site for your internship, student teaching, practicum and/or pre-service experience.

      Any student who wishes to seek a school placement with HCPS must do the following:

    1. Complete the online application that is linked here.

    1. Submit to an online criminal background check, including national and state sex offender checks in order to be considered for approval. This requirement is at the student's expense and applies to all prospective pre-service students, full-time interns, and student teachers.

    Please allow 5 days for the process to be completed.  Students must work through the placement contact at their college or university regarding potential placements. Students are not permitted to contact schools or Human Resources directly to request placements.
