Coach Simmons has 38 years teaching experience and 25 years as Athletic Director. He attended Louisburg Junior College and UNC Pembroke and received a degree in Health and Physical Education. Coach Simmons is the Head Varsity Men's Basketball Coach, on the School Improvement Team, Graduation committee, NCHSAA Education & Athletics Committee, NCHSAA Nominating Committee, NCBCA Region 1 Chairperson. Coach Sharpe received her primary and secondary education in Hertford County Public School system. She graduated from high school in 2003. Elizabeth City State was her next stop, earning an athletic scholarship to play basketball. She earned my Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a concentration in Aquatics and fitness in 2008. She returned in 2009 to Elizabeth City State University and earn her teaching certificate in Physical Education. After 4 years of teaching, she started her journey in earning a Master's Degree in Sports Management concentrating on Athletic Administration from Liberty University in May of 2016. 

Hertford County High School was the foundation of her education and is the foundation of starting her career. Currently,she teaches physical education, perform duties of an athletic first re-sponder and she coaches women's basketball.  

She loves to go shopping, watch any sporting event and classic vehicles.
