Mrs. Darlean S. Mason has been happily married to Elliott Mason Sr. of Mufreesboro, NC for 39 years. She is also the mother of 5 children and 3 grandchildren. She is a graduate of RCCC and Shaw University. She has been a teacher for 20 years and currently serves as an Exceptional Teacher at Hertford County Public School whereby she has been employed for 5 years. She has previously served as a Teacher at CADA Headstart, and EC Teacher at Northampton County Public Schools. She has attend Roanoke- Chowan Community College(Applied Associates Early Childhood) AA 1989,  Shaw University( Bachelor of Arts-  in  Sociology) -BA 1999-2003 and attended Barton College, East Carolina,  Elizabeth City,and Phoenix University online, as part of my course of study to receive my Certification,as an EC Teacher. Mrs. Mason is also a part-time Sunday School Teacher, Member of the Autism Society Club at Hertford County HS and a Member of the Shaw University Alumni Society. Takeyla Hall Taylor is a native of Aulander, NC and a graduate of Hertford County High School. Mrs. Taylor earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Elizabeth City State University. Takeyla Taylor is a first year Exceptional Children’s Math Instructor. Mrs. Taylor comes to Hertford County High School with eight years of Mental Health Case Management experience and is actively pursuing her Master’s degree in Special Education Curriculum K-12.
