ECHS ClubsThe National Beta Club-Advisor: K. Ward- The HCECHS chapter of the National Beta Club is an academic honor society. The core values of Beta Club are: achievement, character, and leadership. Club members participate in various community service projects throughout the school year. Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above, and a clean discipline record are invited to join each Spring semester. Students are encouraged to apply if they meet the club requirements. FBLA-Future Business Leaders of America is a non-profit Leaeducational association for middle school, high school, and collegiate students who are interested in learning more about the free enterprise system. FBLA is a nationally recognized club in the United States of America. The purpose of FBLA is to prepare members for careers in business and to assist them by becoming better employees and citizens. FBLA helps students develop leadership abilities, prepares them for entry into a business-related occupations, and offers a setting where members compete at regional, state and national levels in business and technology curriculum.
HOSA-The mission of HOSA is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience.
Video Game Club--Video game club is a time/space where students meet two days a week to work on their own creative projects and play games. On Tuesday, students transform and create different products that are of interest to them. Thursday, students come together and join to have fun by playing different games.
Writing Center--The writing center meets daily during 4th block to assist students with writing assignments. Writing center tutors are also available on Wednesday from 3-4pm to assist students after school.
**Students are also encouraged to join clubs and organizations through Roanoke Chowan Community College.**
