Ms. Swain has been the Media Coordinator and Instructional Technology Facilitator at HCHS since 2011.  Ms. Swain has a BA in English from Meredith College, a Master's in Curriculum & Instruction from UOP, and a Master's in Media Library & Information Science from ASU.  She is also certified in Academic Intellectual Gifted Education and Instructional Technology.  Ms. Swain formerly taught English at HCHS before transitioning into library services. She serves as the Lead AIG Teacher as well as the Lead Mentor Teacher for Beginning Teachers.  Ms. Swain is an avid reader who enjoys just about any genre, but her favorites are science fiction-fantasy, historical fiction, and mystery. In addition to reading, Ms. Swain enjoys crafting,  listening to music, sewing, and painting and loves to host events in the media center's Makerspace.
