HCPS & Chowan University STEM Camp
Hertford County Public Schools (HCPS) is partnering with Chowan University to offer a summer camp that promises to be an exciting experience for students in grades rising 4 - 12. The camp will feature fun and engaging STEM activities that will help students develop new skills, explore their interests, and make new friends.
The camp will take place from July 10-14, 2023, from 9am-1pm each day. Transportation will be provided, and students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, including the seven essential soft skills in demand through STEM.
"We are thrilled to partner with Chowan University to offer this summer camp to our students," said Superintendent, Dr. Pratt. "The camp will provide a unique opportunity for students to learn about STEM fields in a fun and engaging way. We believe that this is an excellent way to support our students' academic and personal growth and encourage them to pursue their interests and passions."
To ensure that proper arrangements can be made, interested parents should complete the attached Google Form by June 1, 2023. There is no cost to attend the summer camp, but spaces are limited, and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
"We encourage parents to sign up their children for this fantastic opportunity," said Superintendent, Dr. Pratt. "We believe that the summer camp will provide a safe and stimulating environment for students to explore and learn. We hope this will be an experience that they will remember for years to come."
