BOARD RECOGNITIONS
CHARACTER EDUCATION TRAIT – Responsibility
September 23, 2019 Board Meeting
(The certificates will be presented by Dr. James W. Shearn)
AHOSKIE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – Day’Meon Privott
Day’Meon is the son of Carol and Wayne Privott. He demonstrates responsibility daily by coming to school prepared and ready to work. Day’Meon is always on task whether working independently or in a group.
BEARFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL – Keira Lassiter
Keira is the daughter of Rachel and Don Lassiter. She is always prepared for class and ready to learn. She is an active participant in all of her classrooms. Keira is a great role model to her peers and displays responsibility through her leadership skills at Bearfield Primary School.
RIVERVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – Nahlia Williamson
Nahlia is the daughter of Lakesha Vaughan and Ian Williamson. She demonstrates responsibility by walking into each of her classes prepared and ready to do her assignments. The fifth grade team is excited to have Nahlia as a fifth grade student.
HERTFORD COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL - Amyah Vinson
Amyah is the daughter of Alvin and Nicole Vinson. She portrays responsibility daily by completing all assignments. Amyah is always available when her family and friends need her; equating her level of responsibility as trustworthy and loyal.
HERTFORD COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL – Christian Riddick
Christian is the son of Princess and Ronnie Riddick. He portrays responsibility in the fact that he takes an active role in his learning by holding himself accountable and doing above and beyond what is required of him. He is always respectful and makes choices that will ultimately lead to his success. He is a true representation of the character trait responsibility.
CS BROWN HIGH SCHOOL – Tariq Jones
Tariq is the son of Tabitha Jones. He is extremely responsible and takes charge of situations in addition to making sure that his peers are on task and ready for class. He is an incredible role model and a diligent student who comes to class prepared and creates high quality work that exceeds expectations.
EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL – Aren Buffaloe
Aren is the son of Ms. Assata Buffaloe and Mr. Eddie Buffaloe Jr. He exemplifies the trait of responsibility as an Early College student. He sets goals for himself and strives to follow the path that will earn him his desired outcomes. Aren is a very respectful and diligent student who truly cares about his education. He takes responsibility for his actions and he makes positive choices.
